Isaiah, I just recommended that this post be considered for broad dissemination under the auspices of RUL Marketing Committee, of which I am a member. It very nicely captures the sense of RUresearch, and I think will resonate with lots of faculty. So let's get it under their noses!

I'll keep you posted. Linda

It's true that this might affect official recordings of events, but it provoked a related thought. YouTube has revealed that there are hordes of amateur video hoarders (pun intended) who have countless hours of old television in their collections, at least from the VCR era forward. YouTube deliberately does not do much to organize their collections, leaving the risk of copyright violation to its members. But is there any thought to crowd-sourcing gaps in official video collections?

This blog is extremely helpful, Isaiah. I wish it were more highlighted in RUL.

Anyway, I need to do more in NJDH to bring out the articles, e.g. on Standards. That stuff is all in static html, so a chore for someone, but it has to be done!

Just checkin' in. Terrific! Linda

I heard that these films are coming back. The Impossible Project is making some alternative at the moment. Although they are not as good but they are still improving them.
